Have you considered testing your project?

This is not possible for every project, but consider testing it beforehand.

For instance, if you plan to build a construction (booth, climbing tower, wheelchair course etc.) at the festival, consider trying to set it up somewhere else beforehand. This way you can see if you have all the necessary parts and if your construction works the way you want it to.

If you plan a performance of some kind, practice it beforehand, in front of a small audience if possible. They will tell you if something is wrong.

It might also make sense to implement your project at the festival only on a small scale in the first year, collect feedback, and come back with an improved, larger-scale version the year after.
